The session cookie names a session that ended: 12 hours passed without a request, 7 days passed since sign-in, you signed out (here or everywhere), you switched org, or you were removed from the org.

The session cookie names a session that ended: 12 hours passed without a request, 7 days passed since sign-in, you signed out (here or everywhere), you switched org, or you were removed from the org. The message says which.

What to do

Sign in again at /login. A new session gets new cookies.

The message is for a person and can get more exact over time: branch on type and code, never on the message.
