What happened
Section titled “What happened”Someone clicked Approve or Deny on a Deedglass card in Slack, and Deedglass couldn’t match their Slack account to an active member of the org. A Slack user maps to a person only by an email address Slack has confirmed, and only when the account is a full member of the workspace (not a guest, a bot or a deactivated account) and, when the Slack connector sets approvals.require_email_domains, only when the email is in one of those domains. Slack shows the person a message only they can see; nothing is decided.
What to do
Section titled “What to do”Invite the person in Console › Settings › Members with the email they use in Slack, then click again. Or decide in Console › Approvals.
Example
Section titled “Example”{ "error": { "type": "permission_error", "code": "approver_unmapped", "message": "No person in this org matches that Slack account. Invite them in Console › Settings › Members.", "param": null, "request_id": "req_01j9zr3m5k8q2w7x4t6v0b1c9d", "doc_url": "https://docs.deedglass.com/errors/approver_unmapped" }}The message is for a person and can get more exact over time: branch on type and code, never on the message.
